Are you wondering when you should introduce your new bundle of joy to the world? Humans are social creatures and love the company of our own kind.
The same is true of babies. While a newborn baby may be primarily interested in sleeping all day, you will soon see a spark of curiosity and an interest in the surrounding world develop.
It is good for your baby to be around other babies. If you are concerned about things like picking up germs, talk to your doctor about when would be a good time to start socialising your baby. It may be sooner than you think. Being exposed to germs helps your child develop immunity and be more resistant to succumbing to infections once he starts school and is around other ‘germy’ kids all day.
Of course, you should also use common sense and keep your child protected during the height of flu season. Don’t intentionally expose him or her to someone who is ill or contagious. On the other hand, when your child is possibly contagious, it is a good idea to keep him/her home from play dates so he/she doesn’t make other kids sick either.
You don’t have to send your child to day care and worry about separation issues to socialise him or her. There are many clubs in most communities today that the two of you can participate in together. Your baby may not even interact with other babies a whole lot; but spend most of his/her time with you. Some of these clubs are centred on exercise like baby yoga or baby swimming. Others are simply for fun where a group of mums and babies get together, sing songs, clap hands, and have a good time. Other baby clubs are play groups that meet at local parks or other locations.
These clubs are fun for mums and dads too. It gives you a chance to sit and talk with other mums about the parenting issues you deal with. You may 풀싸롱 develop friendships that last for years. Your child may become lifelong friends with someone he met while just an infant at a club. To find baby clubs and play groups, check with local church nurseries, your pediatrician, regional parenting magazines, or even online. If there are none in your area, why not start one yourself?
Being exposed to others of his own age will help your baby learn social skills he will need once he starts school or day care. It may make the transition to being away from you an easier one if he feels comfortable around other kids.
The biggest benefit your child will enjoy is the fun of playing with other kids. Sure, you spend time with your baby and play fun games but if you watch your child closely, you will see the enjoyment in his eyes when he is around other babies and kids. While being around kids of all ages can be an enriching experience for your child, good baby clubs will divide children into age groups so your child is safer and the focus can be totally on age appropriate activities.
